An e-mail I received on June 27th, 2005 from Coty Markarian:

Subject: 2004 must have been a contract year...

. . . because you are slacking on the diary front this year. As a rookie in 2002, you started out strong with 79 postings but then had a sophomore slump in 2003 dropping to 44 entries. Last year must have been a contract year because you put up Johnny Damon numbers and increased your output to 60 submissions. However, you signed the lucrative deal and your output has suffered ala Jason Giambi. A measly 21 rants in the year of our Lord 2005. A pace of 42 diatribes against your employers, friends, and living situation. That number is alarming and the fans are becoming incensed.

Hopefully, your production will pick up after the all-star break in a late season push to the playoffs. Otherwise, you may be shipped out of town like a certain shortstop we all once knew.
